Rolen update
ROLEN UPDATE: In the bottom of the seventh inning of today’s game vs the Rockies, 3B Scott Rolen was hit in the batting helmet by a Jason Marquis pitch. He left the game as a precautionary measure. There was no indication of a concussion. Rolen told the media after the game that he felt fine but would be examined again prior to tomorrow’s game.

If he gets out of this with no down time we are definitely lucky. I was hoping to see a high and tight to Helton but not everyone plays by that book.
It definitely was not intentional. Marquis and Rolen are good friends, dating back to their days together with the Cardinals. Marquis was visibly shaken by the incident.
