Again, great job. I enjoyed your blog, and I will check out whatever you end up doing for Atlanta. Atlanta is a great city. You brought me a little closer to my team.

I think Barry Larkin WILL be elected in 2010, along with Andre Dawson (who may/may not deserve it), Bert Blyleven, and Roberto Alomar. There are six others I feel deserve the Baseball HoF: Alan Trammell, Tim Raines, Mark McGwire, Edgar Martinez, Fred McGriff, and Dale Murphy. If I had more space (There's a ten-vote maximum) I'd consider Lee Smith, Harold Baines, Robin Ventura, Andres Galarraga, Dave Parker, Don Mattingly & Jack Morris. But I don't have that space, and all of those guys I probably would end up not voting for, anyway. But to answer the question, yes, I think Barry Larkin is a worthy first ballot Hall-of-Famer..

Although I am not specifically a Reds fan, I enjoy watching baseball in general, and we do get the Reds' games in my area. Whenever I heard Mr. Grande announcing the game, I could watch with the sound up, and actually LISTEN to the game. His knowledge and love of the game was obvious, as was his love and respect for the Reds. I genuinely enjoyed listening to his broadcasts, and I will miss him in the booth. I speak as an outsider to the Reds' fan base, so I can only imagine that his absence from the booth will be felt even more by Reds fans. Godspeed, Mr. Grande, you will be missed!

At least tell me they are going to sell the old grass as mementos of the stadium like the Yanks did with their old stadium grass. Use the money to off set some of the costs of the new grass and use the rest to put into player development or maybe some way to get the stadium open for BP so more fans can get baseballs!

Jim,

Thanks for all of the info this year. The pics, stories, lineups, everything. If it has to do with the Reds and the people that bring me closer to the team, then I'm all ears. Or eyes.

Thanks again.

This may be a long shot, but here goes: any chance you can ask Dave Storm what song Edwin Encarnacion walked up to last season? I've tried to determine what it is but haven't had any luck. Thanks in advance for trying.
