FIREWORKS!: Tonight’s fireworks are presented by KOI Auto Parts…popular 700 WLW Radio personality and Senior Vice President of Player Procurement Bill “Seg” Dennison will serve as the official igniter of tonight’s fireworks show…because of an event at nearby Sawyer Point, the fireworks show cannot start prior to 10:00 p.m., regardless of when tonight’s game ends.
MOTHER’S WEEKEND AT HOF: Through Sunday, mothers can tour the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum for half the normal admission price…on Mother’s Day, the first 200 mothers who purchase a half-price ticket to the HOF will receive a free flower, courtesy of Jones the Florist…normal ticket priced are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students and allow admission through December 2009.
LUNCH WITH MICAH: As part of the Share the Celebration program, this afternoon 8 young fans had lunch with Reds pitcher Micah Owings at the Kenwood Cheesecake Factory…4 of the kids who attended the lunch were Reds Head Kids Club members, while another child was hosted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
MIRACLE FIELD DEDICATION: The ribbon cutting for the Miracle League field, located at the Dunham Recreation Complex in Western Hills, will be held tomorrow at 10:00 a.m….among those expected to attend the dedication are Reds pitcher Aaron Harang and his wife Jen, who donated $55,000 to the project, along with Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman and Cincinnati Vice Mayor David Crowley…the synthetic turf field will provide children with disabilities a safe and permanent home for the Miracle League operated by the Cincinnati Recreation Commission.
